Customer: A large Russian chain of construction shops and bases. Task: To deliver phytosanitary cargo from Sri Lanka to Russia

- The full container was shipped FOB from the port of Colombo, Sri Lanka, to the port of Jabal Ali, UAE.
- At Jabal Ali, the container was transferred to a vessel of another line and shipped by sea to the port of Bandar Abbas (Iran).
- In the port of Bandar Abbas, the container was reloaded onto a motor vehicle and transported across the entire territory of Iran to the Iranian port on the coast of the Caspian Sea – Bandar Enzeli.
In the port of Bandar-Enzeli, two tasks were accomplished:
- Cargo is repacked from a container of one line to a container of another line.
- The phytosanitary certificate for the consignment was successfully re-issued, taking into account all the peculiarities and procedures of the Iranian legislation.
- From Iran, the cargo was transported by sea to Russia, the port of Astrakhan. In Astrakhan, the container was transferred from the ship to the port and delivered by road to the final consignee.
Result:
Thanks to the experience and knowledge of Rusmarine SCC specialists, all tasks within the framework of multimodal cargo carriage were competently solved, including execution of all necessary documents taking into account local legislation, control of repacking in a foreign port, ensuring safe and prompt delivery of cargo to the final recipient.
The client received an economically justified and cost-optimised solution for the timely and safe delivery of his cargo to its destination.
